YES! FUN!
Okay, I’ll start with the most obvious one that you’ve probably seen everywhere (but I still want to list it!):
- Glitter Flats!
I’ve been meaning to do this for months. I used to never think I’d want glittery shoes (which honestly sounds crazy to me now) but I’ve done a complete 180 on that idea.
We Are Not Martha has a really great tutorial on how to make these!
- I also really like the idea of adding a big bow to the front of your glittery shoes, like these:
Okay, moving on.
- Fabric + Mod Podge = easy shoe jazz-up
this tutorial is from Notes from the Bench.
I like the idea of using different strips of fabric as well.
- Ok, I love this next idea. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, or if you’re into the idea BUT..
comic book flats!
You could really do this with any kind of paper, not just comic books. I saw one person use sheet music to cover their shoes! You could probably do pages of books too? If you were okay with ripping a book apart.
(via cut out & keep)
- Oh, and last but not least, I think studs would be a pretty neat idea. Kinda like these from Sweet Monday:
I hope these ideas helped! Feel free to submit any of your finished products, cos I’d love to show ‘em off to everyone! ^-^
Thanks to sequin-stuffed for making this re-bloggable! Love these.
